To aid parents in supporting their child in Scouting the Scout Association has a vast amount of information available via their website. Click here to be transferred to the FAQ's section for parents.
Scottish Scouting has also produced the following information pack for parents, aimed at those whose child is about to start or just started their scouting adventure. Click here to view or download this pack.
We would of course hope that everybody who comes into contact with Scouting has a positive experience. However, it is inevitable that on occasion concerns may arise.
As Scouting takes place locally, the first port of call should be an informal chat with the Group Scout Leader (if the issue is within a Scout Group), or the District Explorer Scout Commissioner (for Explorer Scouts). Hopefully this will resolve the issue.
If the issue is not dealt with to your satisfaction, we have a formal complaints procedure, which is explained on this page.
